Simon trained with what is now known as PWC before entering financial PR.

He later moved into the financial services sector and headed the media strategy for the largest unit trust launch, the Royal Event, which raised £245m and the largest investment trust launch ever, The Mercury European Privatisation Trust, which raised £550m. He successfully advised Zurich Life in leading the industry on the issue relating to the effect that AIDS would have on the sector. He was also the leading adviser on the media launch of the Sandler Report. In the VCT arena he has considerable expertise advising Chrysalis VCT Plc on the first ever VCT merger.

Overall, Simon has first class corporate communications experience, including crisis management.
